Limassol a cosmopolitan city in the wine growing area of the South is the second largest city.

The annual wine festival, the carnival and many other exhibitions are held here. Being the home of the main port many offshore companies are based here and there are many hotels of a high standard. As in all towns one can find numerous tavernas and restaurants offering excellent traditional and international cuisine.

The surrounding areas are rich with ancient and historical sites well worth visiting.
